Hello, everyone! Firstly, apologies for skipping the May update without warning or explanation. There wasn't much to talk about, so I didn't think it was worth writing a newsletter issue about it. Secondly, I have good news! The second draft of Amniland, Book 2 is complete, with a word count of 78'375 words! For reference, the first draft had a word count of 22'818 words. I finally managed to finish it this month using the new writing sprint tool Novlr recently implemented. I was having a lot of trouble fast-drafting the new scenes, and setting a timer had not crossed my mind. So when I saw the new timer in Novlr last week, I gave it a go, and it increased my productivity in ways I did not expect. I was able to write 1000 words under an hour per day! I had never drafted a story that fast before: back when I wrote the first draft for Book 2, it would take me 4-6 hours to reach that word count daily. Imagine how many words I could write in that time span with this new routine now. Maybe I could even reach 10k words daily! Not only that, but if the circumstances in my life change, I would still be able write a lot of words with little of free time. The plan now is to take a break from the trilogy by focusing on other projects in the meantime. Once I feel enough time has passed, I will revise all three books before resuming (or restarting) the 5th draft of Book 1, which I am very excited about! There are already so many changes I have in mind, I can't wait to implement them! But for now, the story will marinate until I deem it ready for another round. I went back to work on Mihayu: Light Eater. While I can see the qualities in the story, there are huge flaws I need to address first before starting another draft — I will not go into details to avoid spoilers. As for the Amniland short story I was also working on, I am not sure what to do with it yet. It might not be a good idea to write a story in the same universe when I'm supposed to take a break from the series, but we'll see how it goes. On a side note, I am slowly becoming active on social media again. Not I can't promise I will be as active as I used to be, but at least you'll see more from me. I will probably write on SnipFic again too, so if you're interested in microfiction stories, feel free to follow me there (links to SnipFic accounts don't work, but my handle is HeartClock08). Thank you for reading this. I wish you a good day/night and month. See ya! |

Hello, everyone! First of all, I apologize for not delivering the March issue. As I explained in a Ko‑fi update, my mental health has been in decline lately. I won't go into details — I prefer not to talk about my personal life online for safety reasons — but basically, I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety due to life circumstances. Which is part of the reason why I've been barely active online, and why I wasn't able to write the March update. So again, sorry about that. Now, regarding my...
